Introduction
RocketFuel allows for two types of two factor authentication: Google and email. It is highly recommended to enable two factor authentication to add an extra layer of account security. This article will outline how to enable each two factor authentication and how to disable two factor authentication.
To locate the Two Factor Authentication settings, navigate to your Profile at the top right menu.
Towards the bottom of the Profile menu, you'll see the following tile:
Google Authenticator
The Google Authenticator is conducted through the Google Authenticator app, Upon each login to RocketFuel, you will enter a code supplied by the Google Authenticator app.
Step 1: Select the Enable Google Authenticator option. A QR code will appear on the next page with instructions.
Step 2: Write down the restore key in a secure place in case you lose access to your device.
Step 3: Download the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your mobile device.
Step 4: Add a new service and scan the QR code displayed on your screen.
- Click the multi-colored PLUS to add an additional account. Select the ‘Scan a QR code’ option on the next screen.
- Scan the QR Code found on the App screen to add the new account to your Mobile Device.
- he new account will now show on the ‘Google Authenticator’. An authenticating number and a timer will be shown below the account email. When the countdown dot disappears, a new code will be displayed.
- Enter the code into the ‘Verify Code’ blank, and click the ‘Verify and Enable’ button to complete the process.
Step 5: Enter the code shown to enable.
Email Authentication
Step 1: Select the Enable email authentication option.
Step 2: Select the Send Email button.
Step 3: Retrieve the system generated email from the email address tied to your RocketFuel account. If you do not receive an email within 5 minutes, select the Resend Email option.
Step 4: Apply the verification code from the system generated email to the Verify Code field.
Once the code is applied, you'll see the following at the top of your Profile page:
Disable Authentication
To Disable Authentication, locate the Two Factor Authentication section on the Profile page. If Two Factor Authentication is set, you'll see the following option to disable:
